Arabic Bible Studies
Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 7.15pm
Our older youth come together on Wednesday evenings after the Paraklesis service for Arabic Bible Studies. These sessions provide a meaningful opportunity to explore Scripture in depth, with discussions sometimes led by our own parishioners. Through engaging reflections and shared insights, we strengthen our faith, grow in our understanding of God’s word, and build a strong sense of community within our parish.
English Bible Studies & Small Compline
Tuesday 7.00pm
Our youth gather for English Bible Studies to grow in faith and understanding of Scripture. We begin with the Small Compline, a beautiful evening prayer that sets a peaceful and prayerful tone. Currently, we are exploring the Letters of Saint Paul, diving into his teachings and their relevance in our lives today. The evening concludes with fellowship, allowing our youth to connect and support one another in their spiritual journey.
Holy Bread Making Group
Every Thursday at 6.00am
If you’d like to volunteer, please email us or speak with Mr. Phillip El-Debs. Bread has been a symbol of God’s provision throughout history, with the practice of Holy Bread (Korban) rooted in the Last Supper. It is an offering to God, made from His gifts, and prepared with love and prayer. The dough is stamped with a wooden seal before baking, often hand-carved by monastics. To place an order, please contact the parish by Tuesday via email or phone.
Mums and Bubs Group
Last Tuesday of the month at 10.00am
Join our Mums and Bubs group for a relaxed and enjoyable space where you and your children can engage in play, interaction, and socialisation with other parents.
Our group facilitates the exchange of parenting tips, the formation of new friendships, and provides an opportunity for parents to unwind and connect outside of home. We strive to create a welcoming and supportive environment that fosters the growth and well-being of both mums and bubs.
Sunday School
Every Sunday at 10:00 AM
Sunday School is held every Sunday at 10:00 AM for children from Kindergarten to Year 12. It provides a nurturing environment where students learn about the Orthodox faith through Bible stories, lessons, and interactive activities. Our dedicated teachers guide children in growing spiritually, building friendships, and deepening their love for Christ and His Church. Throughout the year, we also hold day retreats, offering our youth a special opportunity to reflect, learn, and strengthen their faith in a supportive and uplifting setting.
Arabic School
Every Wednesday 5:15pm – 7:15pm
Our Fellowship Arabic School offers high school students the opportunity to learn Arabic in a supportive and faith-centered environment. Taught by dedicated parishioners, the program helps students develop their reading, writing, and speaking skills. Through engaging lessons and cultural insights, students deepen their connection to their heritage while strengthening their language abilities.
Y2MP Choir
every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month
Our Children’s Choir meets every 2nd and 4th Sunday, offering young children the opportunity to learn the rich tradition of Byzantine chanting. Led by one of our dedicated youth choir members, the children are taught hymns of the Church. This ministry helps instill a love for Orthodox faith while building confidence in chanting and participation in the services. We welcome all young voices to join and grow in faith through Chanting!
Y2MP Fellowship
1st & 3rd Friday of every month
The Young Youth of Mount Pritchard (Y2MP) is a group of high school aged teenagers who gather every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month. Led by a team of dedicated members from the SMMP youth, the meetings aim to provide spiritual education and a safe place for our younger youth to grow together in fellowship, building lifelong friendships.
